Terms of Service

ResumeFolio is a job search workspace. It helps you build a structured profile of your professional experience, assemble tailored resume variants, track applications, and recover the exact resume and job context used for each opportunity.

ResumeFolio does not submit applications to job boards or employers on your behalf. You are responsible for sending your applications externally. The "Send & Track" feature records what you sent — it does not submit anything.

You sign in using a magic code sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that email secure. Do not share your account or your magic codes.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for the content you create or upload.

The Service offers a free plan and paid plans (Plus and Pro). Plan details, prices, and features are listed on the pricing page.

Billing. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually as selected at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges to your chosen payment method until you cancel.

Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. After that, you will not be charged again, and your account will revert to the free plan. Your data is preserved.

No refunds. All payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods or unused time. We may issue a refund at our sole discretion in cases of clear error, fraud, or duplicate billing.

Promotional offers. We may run promotional offers, free trials, or discounts from time to time. These are subject to the terms stated at the time of the offer. We may modify or end promotional offers at any time.

Price changes. We may change subscription prices. If we do, we will notify active subscribers in advance. Price changes take effect at your next renewal.

The Service uses AI to extract information from uploaded resumes, parse job descriptions, and assist with writing. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before using it.

We do not guarantee that AI-assisted features will produce results that lead to interviews, offers, or any specific career outcome.

You retain ownership of the content you create or upload, including profile data, resume variants, application records, and uploaded files.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and display your content as needed to operate the Service. This includes sending content to third-party processors (such as OpenAI for AI parsing) as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that the content you provide does not infringe on anyone else's rights and is not unlawful.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload content that is fraudulent, defamatory, or infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the Service
• Use the Service to send spam, malware, or harmful content
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or its security

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uptime, availability, or that the Service will be free of errors or interruptions. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

You can delete your account at any time. Deletion removes your data from active systems within a reasonable period.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if there is a credible risk of harm to other users or the Service, or if required by law.

If your account is terminated for violating these Terms, no refunds will be issued.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, or be error-free.

We make no warranties about the outcomes of your job search. Whether you receive interviews, offers, or employment depends on many factors outside our control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumeFolio and its operators are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, opportunities, or career outcomes
• Loss of data beyond what is recoverable from our backups
• Damages arising from third-party services we integrate with (Stripe, OpenAI, AWS, email providers)

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or AUD 100, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of New South Wales, unless local law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.
